Dynamic Building Architecture
Slated to start construction toward the end of this year, the worlds first rotating skyscraper will soon be apart of the ever growing Dubai landscape. Architects have always pushed the limits on design by new styles, exotic locations or just how the building operates. It is almost 2010 and the biggest element that most buildings being will address is how they interact with environment and remain aesthetically pleasing to the populous. This new Dubai tower will be the crowning example of such a design as it not only pushes the envelope of modern technology with skyscrapers, it also shows a glimpse of what is to come to all sorts of buildings. The rotating skyscraper will house over 80 wind turbines, one within each floor, that will generate all the buildings power needs and still have enough to send back to the grid. Why waste the space on the ground when it can be worked into the whole design? As technology advances, architecture will not only be about "how does this look" but more of a "how effective is this".
